"I wish my Easter basket for TDSH readers was filled with a ginormous assortment of colorful images for weird people like you and me. Except my computer has been behaving badly for weeks now, and the $225 I paid for a “computer professional” to fix my problems over two visits has resulted in my co..."

Wish me luck with my computer--I'd believe in the Easter swamp leech if it would get a computer that worked right consistently!

Undead onslaught not slowing

"Been wondering if the pop infatuation with rom-zoms (Romero-style zombies) is on the skids in the United States. I mean, wasn’t their fifteen minutes up some time ago?

"Happily, I have to say I don’t think so. “Zombie walks” and other zombie events are increasingly popular. The Walking Dead comics have had enormous sales, and a second season of the show based on them begins in October. The zombie apocalypse of Resident Evil keeps gamers busy. Undead flesh-eaters just keep a-comin’."

More news.

A few posts that I promised would appear here will still appear here at this site. Check in sometimes, follow or subscribe for those. (Kind of like having an estate sale in the old house where only ghosts now tread.)

My thanks to everyone who checked out my blog (and articles) at Famous Monsters of Filmland website. Comments MOST welcome!

Moving day!

It's a very moving day for me because I was asked to take my blog to a website with a name I am very, very fond of: Famous Monsters of Filmland.

That was the name of a magazine that taught me genre film history as I was growing up. It taught me an appreciation for the talents before the movie camera and those behind it, telling about men and women like Boris Karloff, Bela Lugosi, Fay Wray, James Whale, Jack Pierce, and so many more.

It taught me wordplay with it's emphasis on punning titles and headers.

It gave me a familiarity of the classics when a chance to actually see one was none too high in those pre-cable, pre-Internet days.

So I am moving TDSH to the Famous Monsters website. At least, nearly all my future blog posts will be there. This Blogger version will remain as an archive and possibly as a host for some occasional special projects. Don't know yet what to do, except I am stoked and fired up to be doing my future posts there.

Come on over! Click HERE and be transported to the new spot!
