Reader Pierre Fournier commented that the video of my head attached to a body dressed in 1920's flapper drag was enough to make him swear off drinking. Well, Pierre, glut your peepers on how I looked BEFORE the flapper outfit was put on:
That oughtta make you lay off drugs, too!
EEEAAUUUGH!
ReplyDeletePardon me, but a "bodkin" is a thin dagger or stilletto as in "Odd's bodkins!" i.e. "God's bodkins!" a polite form of Elizabethan swearing
ReplyDeleteTo quote Alexander Pope "Charms strike the sight but merit wins the soul."---I think the viewer loses on both counts with this image.
I think "Cor' blimey!" works much better--that means "God blind me!"
"Meek"(with who his quietus makes with a bare bodkin)
