By attending the 2010 Pittsburgh Zombie Fest, a Halloween season annual event, I've learned some things about zombies. Here, let me show you.
Zombies, despite being smelly and dangerous creatures, have friends:
From the photo above, I'd say the undead cross social and economic lines when making friendships more often than the living do!
Zombies often travel in pairs:
It was heartwarming to see that they make friendships regardless of color. I saw green, gray, blue, black and chalk-white zombies hanging out together! (There they were, together, their entrails or other organs just hanging out.)
WTF?
Zombies work as baristas.
Zombies can be romantic. Here we see a living dude feeding his undead girl some blood from his finger. (Bet she was a vampire fan when she was alive.) Isn't that sweet? (I wonder if he lost that finger--zombies have little impulse control when they're hungry.)
More young love among the undead:
Zombies will get up early to get their picture taken:
Zombie girls like to get their hands kissed:
Charlie Brown and Lucy are zombies!
Zombie girls like to dress up:
Zombies get autographs:
On the left is the very much alive John Russo, who co-wrote the 1968 movie that started the zombie craze, Night of the Living Dead. On the right is George Kosana, who played the Sheriff in the film. The young zombie in the middle had come up to thank them for their part in making a classic horror movie, and to get their autographs.
Coming soon: The final batch of photos from Zombie Fest 2010.
Looks like a blast!
